Eprogen Announced as R&D 100 Award Winner
ProteoSep is considered one of the 100 most significant
technologies to reach the commercial market in 2001.
DARIEN, IL, July 08, 2002 - - Eprogen is proud to announce its selection as being the developer of one of this year's R&D Magazine 100 Award Winning Technologies! Eprogen's ProteoSep technology - a new and powerful protein separation technology designed to more easily characterize and "map" complex protein mixtures - will be featured in R&D Magazine's September issue, in addition to being showcased during a multimedia presentation at the Awards Gala on October 16, 2002.
ProteoSep produces highly detailed maps of intact proteins in one day while retaining the intact proteins in the liquid phase, providing researchers with the ability to more easily study post translational modifications. The gel-free ProteoSep technology works with conventional HPLC equipment, directly interfacing with Mass Spectrometry and other characterization techniques.
ProteoSep is the only available technology platform that addresses a significant bottleneck in high throughput protein analysis; namely, 2D gel electrophoresis. This powerful technique has been demonstrated for the monitoring of disease progression, the characterization of cell lines, drug efficacy studies, and for bacterial pathogen fingerprinting.
